Tamil Nadu Smart Ration Card

The government of Tamil Nadu taken initiative to launch the TNPDS smart card for people of state. In accordance, the citizens of the TN state people can apply for the electronic card at online. The card holders can request the government to convert the sugar card into rice card. So, the government has decided to convert the sugar cards into the smart rice cards. This can be done for the people who are requested previously.

The interested applicants can apply for the TNPDS Smart Ration card at online. Read the following procedure carefully to apply at official website.

1. Firstly, visit the official portal of the Tamil Nadu PDS: – https://www.tnpds.gov.in
2. The home page of the official portal will open on your screen,
3. On the home page, you have to click on the Smart Card.
4. Navigate to the Smart Card Application Services section.
5. After that, click on the Smart Card Application option.
6. If you want to apply for a new smart card then choose 1st option or choose Old card enrollment.
   • New Smart Card Enrollment
   • Old Card Enrollment
7. After that, enter the Name of family head, father’s or husband’s name, address, district, taluk, pincode, and village. Also, type the same details in Tamil.

8. Enter the mobile number and email address.
9. Then, choose the type of smart ration card.

   • No commodity card

10. After that, upload the proof of residence. The file should be less than 1mb.
11. Upload the Photo of the family head. (Under 5mb)
12. Re-check the details before submitting the application.

How to Add Member in Smart Card?

1. Go to the official TNPDS portal.
2. After that, navigate to the Smart Card Related Services.
3. Select the option from the list.
4. Then, new page will open on your screen.
5. After that, enter the Mobile number of the applicant.
6. Type the captcha and click on the submit.
7. Then, enter the new member details.
8. Upload the details of the member.
9. At last, click on the Submit.

How to Change Address in TN Smart Ration Card?

1. Visit the TNPDS official portal.
2. Click on the Change of Address option under Smart Card Services section.
3. After that, enter the registered user mobile number.
4. Click on the Submit button.
5. Then, click on the edit button.
6. Type the address and re-type it.
7. Finally, click on the submit button.

How to Change Mobile Number in TNPDS Smart Card?

2. On the home page, click on the Citizen Login button.
3. Enter the registered mobile number and capthca code.
4. After that, click on the Submit button.
5. Now, naviagte to Change Mobile Number section. Click on it.
